This cluster course is designed to give students the skills necessary to support and enhance their learning about graphic design. Students will learn the basics to navigating and using industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Curriculum will include design theory (layout, typography, color theory), photography, vector graphics, brand identity, and client-based work. Recommended: Completion of TAC2010 Arts and Communication Career Pathway Core.
GRAPHIC DESIGN TECHNOLOGY 2

This concentration course provides students the opportunity to further increase their graphic design and communication skills. Students will learn advanced graphic design techniques and apply their knowledge to working with various clients. Curriculum will include advertising design, magazine layouts, poster making, digital painting, t-shirt design, screen-printing, and portfolio creation. Prerequisite: Completion of TAU2124 Graphic Design Tech 1.
ANIMATION

This concentration course provides students the opportunity to further increase their animation skills. Students will have the opportunity to use advanced programs such as Adobe Flash, Photoshop, and Premiere to create various animations. Curriculum will include conceptualizing, storytelling, gif animations, and Flash animation.
Prerequisite: Completion of TAU2210 Digital Media Technology.
WEB DESIGN

This concentration course provides students the opportunity to further increase their web design skills. Students will analyze, design, build, and implement web sites using advanced technology such as Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Curriculum will include basic HTML, CSS, layouting, and web design. Prerequisite: Completion of TAU2210 Digital Media Technology.
